SCHEME OF EXAMINATION AND PROMOTION

Promotion to next higher class will depend on the student's progress throughout the year on the basis of Unit Tests, Half Yearly Examination and Annual Examination. For Std I to V comprehensive continuous evaluation is introducted as per CBSE norms.

Continuous and Comprehensive evaluation for Class I to V

  1. An assessment test will be held every week to assess academic performance of the students.
  2. The marks of the assessment test will be held 20 per subject which will be converted into grades. There will be four evaluations per subject.
  3. Test will be held strictly on the syllabus of each evaluation. No cummulative assessment of the syllabus will be made. This will help to lower the stress level amongst the students.
  4. Grading system:

  5. In each academic year, the school will hold the following tests carrying weightage as under for std. VI to VIII & IX.

  6. To pass the examination, a candidate must obtain not less than 40% marks in each of the academic subjects viz. languages, maths, science and social studies and an aggregate of 45%  . It is essential for every student to appear in Weekly Tests. Unit Tests, Half Yearly and Annual Examination. If he/she is unable to appear in the tests on account of sickness or transition period due to transfer of his/her parent, he/she may be accepted on request of the guardian writing an application along with medical certificate. The application for the purpose should reach the office of the Principal within seven days after the due time is over.
